Topic: Working with Interpreters

Participants will learn how to prepare for—and open a session—with an interpreter, how to name ways to support an interpreter in improving conversation quality, and how to address common interpretation challenges.

Participants will learn how to define key terms related to interpretation, describe the interpreter’s role, including the role of cultural competence in interpretation, and describe why quality interpretation is important when providing services to limited-English-proficient clients.
