Immigration Legal Services for Afghan Arrivals (ILSAA)
Since 2022, ILSAA has provided Eligible Afghan Arrivals (EAAs) across the country with the free legal services they need to navigate the U.S. legal immigration system.
Update on ILSAA
The ILSAA project is funded by the federal government for a limited time. As a result, ILSAA is no longer accepting new clients. We are now focused on providing immigration legal services to our current clients.
Important Information for Afghan Arrivals
If you have already been assigned a lawyer through ILSAA, please contact them for assistance. Your assigned lawyer is still working on your case and will be able to answer any questions you may have about your case.
If you have contacted ILSAA and are waiting to have a lawyer assigned to your case, please be patient. ILSAA will contact you with information about next steps. Given the high demand for services, it may take a few weeks for us to be in touch to help you.
If you need additional help, you can contact your state refugee coordinator's office or visit our Afghan Arrivals page for a list of legal and other resources. Our Resource Library is also a good source of information for many topics related to resettlement and immigration.
ILSAA is funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and implemented by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI).
